About CoolSage
A life lived
between work,
travel & curiosity.
CoolSage is a pseudonym. This is my little corner of the internet where I write about things I have seen, experienced, liked, disliked, and sometimes simply wondered about.
The story
CoolSage — that is the name I chose for this space.
I am an engineer by profession and have spent a good part of my career working with some of the top MNCs. Like many people, I started working with a lot of enthusiasm. Over the years, though, I began to wonder if I was really doing what I wanted to do.
After almost a decade in the corporate world, I decided to step away and try something different. I did not have a perfect plan or all the answers. I just knew I wanted to make some room for things that had been pushed aside for years.
One of those things was travel.
I have not travelled the world, but I have travelled quite a bit across India. And honestly, India is more than enough to keep you curious. From the mountains of the North and Northeast to the beaches in the South, from busy cities to quiet little towns, every place has something different to offer.
Most of my travels have been about discovering places, meeting people, getting lost occasionally, and coming back with stories that stay with me.
To Live Is To Travel.
CoolSage
What I write about.
Travel
Places I have visited, journeys I have taken, things that went as planned — and things that did not.
Technology
Technology is changing faster than most of us can keep up with. I write about some of the things that catch my attention.
Work & Life
Corporate life, careers, decisions, mistakes and the occasional question of whether we are actually enjoying what we do.
Culture & Ideas
Things I find interesting — art, culture, economics, lifestyle and whatever else happens to catch my attention.
Not an expert.
Just an observer.
I am not a writer by profession, nor do I consider myself an expert on any of these subjects.
I started CoolSage mostly because I had things I wanted to write about. Some were experiences, some were opinions, and some were simply thoughts that I could not get out of my head.
I do not claim to have answers. In fact, I probably have more questions than answers.
So this is not meant to be a guide to life. It is just a collection of my experiences and observations. Take whatever you find useful and ignore the rest.
I write about the things that interest me, the places I visit, the things I learn and sometimes the things I am still trying to figure out.
There are plenty of things I still want to see, places I still want to visit, and stories I still want to tell. So, for now, this journey continues.
